POLYPROPYLENE

PLAIN OPP / CAST OPP

Plain OPP is a low cost all purpose film ideal for packing bakery products, cakes, confectionery, stationary etc. Its versatility makes it easy to use on many different types of packaging machinery. Cast PP gives a high gloss finish and is widely used in bagging applications.

COATED OPP / METALISED OPP

These barrier films are used to protect products susceptible to oxygen migration, moisture or UV light. They are usually less expensive than laminates but in some instances can produce a similar effect. Some usual applications are biscuits, confectionery and box overwrap etc.

WHITE / PEARLISED OPP

These films are used predominantly to give exceptional pack presentation particularly when printed. The enhanced depth of the white when overprinted with colours can produce a pack with a high gloss which creates a luxury look and feel to the product. Ideal packaging for any product requiring superior shelf appeal.

HIGH SPEED / ANTIMIST OPP

These films have differing specialist roles. High speed OPP is used for rapid packing applications at speeds up to 80 meters per minute. Antimist films are used to prevent moisture from forming on the pack. Using this film is often a lower cost alternative to micro perforation for some produce packs.

HIGH TENSILE / LOW SLIP OPP

Again two diverse films with differing applications. High tensile OPP is an ideal product to reduce packaging costs as it allows down gauging. This product saves money, waste and is environmentally preferable to standard OPP. Low Slip film is usually used for packing cards where sealing is produced by a hot wire or electro-static charge.
